Keep Your Number When You Switch – Our Commitment to You

At VoIP and SIMs (Omni Communications), we know how important your business phone number is. If you’re switching to us, or moving away, we’ll help you keep your existing number – it’s your right, and we’re here to make it simple.

This page explains how we make sure you can transfer (or “port”) your number, following Ofcom’s General Condition C8 rules for UK telecom providers.

How Number Porting Works

  1. Let Us Know You Want to Keep Your Number
Simply tell us you’d like to keep your number when you move your service.
  2. Get a PAC Code
Ask your current provider for a “Porting Authorisation Code” (PAC). If you’re moving your number to us, just give us this code – we’ll handle the rest.
  3. Choose Your Switch Date
We’ll confirm with you when your number will move over. Most ports are done quickly, and we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

What to Expect

  • We aim to make the switch as smooth as possible – sometimes there’s a short interruption (usually less than an hour), but we’ll let you know exactly when this might happen.
  • Keep your account active with your old provider until the port is complete. If you owe any payments, this can delay the process.
  • Make sure your phone or device is switched on during your port date.
  • If anything feels unclear or you’re worried, our support team is here to help.

Your Rights

  • You have the right to keep your number when you change providers.
  • You’re protected against unfair delays or charges.
  • We’re required by Ofcom to give you all the info and support you need – and we’re happy to do it!
